Desert Point's Tonya, with a pedigree you won't see everyday.

Nice Looking Girl

Picture
Tonya is a very nice looking GSP, having both parents as show champions. She is a very versatile hunting dog that fits well into our program, like our other dogs she fits our standard. She is close to medium in her hunting range, she has a nice natural retrieve, points very well with an excellent natural back.  Her water work is outstanding, and she is a good therapy dog in the care centers and loves the old people.

Great Point & Back

Great Hunting dog, nice point, back, and retrieve. Close working, with a great temperament. Tonya loves to hunt and like most all shorthairs is always ready for a hunting outing.

Super Waterwork

Tonya is a top water dog, as are all our dogs, we simply will not keep a dog in our program that does not love the water.  She is a very versatile hunting dog who continues to get better with age.

Tonya's Mother and Father

Sire is Silver Tip's Gunher's War Dance, Show Champion.
Tonya has a wonderful pedigree, one you won't find everyday.  Both parents were show champions, and good hunting dogs. Tonya's sire's breeding is from the Prestigious American Hainholz Kennel, and frozen  semen was used to bring this breeding back to life. This is an outstanding pedigree in so many ways.  36 titled dogs, 10 Dual Champions, 7 German KS Champions, and 3 Hall of Fame Dogs.  Ybold Rothenuffeln, one of a very few Dogs to be both a German KS Champion, and an American Dual Champion. Ybold is a foundation dog of the Hainholz Kennel. You can also see the very strong influence of DC  HOF dog Hillhaven's Hustler, who is considered by many to be the best American sire.  There are many Stradivarius dogs in this pedigree that will make a good influence. DC Hof dog Treeker v Grunbaum shows up in the 3rd and 5th, one of America's best titled dogs. Tonya brings back the very best of the older lines that our fathers and grandfathers came to love in the German Shorthair; outstanding hunting dogs that hunt for you and with you. Great point and back, great waterwork, and natural retrieve, and a dog that loves people.  An Outstanding Dog, with an Outstanding Pedigree, the way it's suppose to be.
